Forged out of the desire to fill in the gaps of care within mental health and the Orthodox Jewish community, Neshama Nourished came from a small idea, to a larger than life community-based project, beginning in the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University. Neshama Nourished is dedicated to supporting the mental health and physical healing of the Orthodox Jewish community through culturally sensitive psychotherapy and eating disorder support groups. Our goal is simple: to provide a compassionate, heimishe environment where clients feel understood, safe, and cared for—without the need to explain their religious values or lifestyle. Our mission is to nourish both body and neshama (soul), fostering recovery, resilience, and connection within a framework rooted in shared faith and community.
